Word from the man himself! - June 24
Two months to go and I am feeling more confident about the event than I could have dared to hope some months ago. In one respect it is like a solo journey, in lots of others it feels like coming home when I get in contact with the global community of Diplomacy.
Just today I received a touching reply from Dutch old timers in Dip Times, Gerrit-Jan Hondelaar and Lex Pater. Even though they were not planning on playing both, it was a sign they were paying hommage to the great history of Diplomacy.
And when I say that I don't just mean the many past World Champions who will show their grace to the new and coming. Because what makes this hobby great is the family feeling you get time and again when meeting each other from far and beyond.
I'm looking forward on meeting my family in August; it is a joy to host such an event, cause it feels like planning for Thanksgiving...
